Arson Offender/s stole approx. 30 newspapers from outside McCOLLS Newsagents following delivery which were then set alight before shop opened Bomb Hoaxes External call received by member of staff at TESCO late evening 21 August stating that there was bomb in store due to go off shortly. Phone call received by TESCO Waterloo Road evening 25 August stating that previous bomb threat would be carried out that night. No bomb found. Burglary - Sheds Etc Padlock forced off garage at rear of property in Milne Road overnight 15/16 August. Quantity of power tools stolen. Common Assault Injured person received a slap to the face and pushed into a pushchair. Kitchener Crescent, late evening 27 August. Rw/oC Criminal Damage - Vehicles Offender pushed bike against the rear of a van parked Honeysuckle Lane causing a small dent or crease with a tyre mark. Mid morning 2 August. Rw/oC Number of vertical and horizontal lines etched into rear nearside wing of Vauxhall Astra on driveway in Swift Close between 3/7 August. Vehicle parked in Goldfinch Road damaged with substance thought to be paint stripper early hours 20 August. Drivers side of victims car parked in Tarn Drive scratched - possibly using a key. Between 26/27 August. Male smashed r/n/s window of Mitsubishi Estate car in Swallow Close early hours 27 August and was disturbed by victim. Male matching description of offender found by police nearby and was arrested. POLICE BAIL Criminal Damage - Other Sold wood vertical bollard at southern gate of Longmeadow Lane restricting access to heath snapped in half and stolen between 15/16 August. Gate in front of bollard locked. No entry gained. Offender pulled on fence panel causing it to come of - approx 1mtr length. Swallow Close, between 19/20 August. 'Beware of Dog' sign pulled from iron gate and damage to brick pillar in front garden adjoining neighbours front gate, Hazlebury Road, between 23/24 August. Break to yard of KEYLINE BUILDERS Creekmoor Lane late afternoon 27 August by cutting padlock to side gate. Offender seen walking around but believed nothing taken. GBH Following domestic dispute in French Road early hours 15 August, neighbour seen to punch victim in face several times with clenched fist and kick him. Injuries include facial fractures and possible neck injury. POLICE BAIL Public Order Act Male shouting early hours 19 August that he was going to cause damage to vehicle parked in Bluebell Lane. CHARGED During a police cordon of TESCO’s Waterloo Road late evening 21 August, male from group of four refused to comply with cordon and became abusive to police and TESCO staff before attempting to force his way through the cordon. PND ISSUED Theft From M/V Money bag taken from Skoda on driveway in York Road between 5/7 August. Entry by smashing side window. Front driver’s window of Chevrolet Lacetti parked on driveway in Sopers Lane smashed overnight 16/17 August. Satnav taken from dashboard. Glovebox opened and charger taken. CHARGED Theft From Shops and Stalls Offender paid for some items but concealed other items under jacket before leaving CO-OP without payment afternoon 30 August. POLICE BAIL Theft - Pedal Cycle Specialised Hardrock bike left lying on floor outside TESCO by young boy late evening 13 August for short time stolen whilst victim was inside store. Two youths had threatened to steal bike shortly before. Girls’ pink bicycle taken from outside CO-OP WELCOME Creekmoor Lane late afternoon 16 August. Theft - Other On being told he was banned from shop at Darbys Corner early hours 11 August , male took bottle of water and left store without paying. Ten sets of cold store stainless steel internal shelving stolen from open air fence storage area inside TESCO between 20 January and 1 May. Theft From M/V Entry gained to Peugeot 205 parked at AEROTECK AVIATION The Alpha Centre between 7 June/16 August and tax disc stolen. Theft From Shops And Stalls Male entered MAKRO midday 6 August, concealed quantity of meat under his jacket and then left store without making payment. Rw/oC Two males entered LIDL Waterloo Road early evening 10 August. One picked up box of 20 bottles of lager whilst other remained at adjacent door. Males then ran across car park with box. Lock levered on unmanned jewellery counter at MAKRO midday 26 August splitting wood. One tray of expensive necklaces removed. Theft By Employee Employee had been stealing money from employer over period of several months via credit card refunds and then taking money from shop till. FORMAL CAUTION Theft Other Hand-held device stolen from box in unlocked drawer in building that has key fob entry only (doors sometimes left open during hot weather). SIEMENS, overnight 31 July and 1 August. Wallet and mobile phone stolen from locker which had been forced open in changing rooms at ESPORTA early afternoon 1 August. Male entered yard at DORSET WASTE SERVICES Balena Close overnight 10/11 August by breaking locked bar on gate. Skip full of household cable stolen.
